Epilepsy is a very difficult to cure neurological diseases. Patients need long-term treatment, often taking drugs. A few people even need lifelong medication. Once the drug is unable to control seizures, patients must pay for operation treatment which is expensive. How to use technology to help patients with epilepsy? A San Francisco company Artefact tries to solve it with wearable devices. They designed the Dialog smart bracelet looks like a patch, can be connected with mobile phone. 1. To whom it may concern,

My name is Brian Majesky, I am from Corning, NY, as the days go in the last year, I have been thinking about how provide awareness out for Epilepsy. I have tried to contact multiple people I am just one person not affiliated with any organizations. I see they have different awareness out there what is great, like for Breast Cancer awareness month, Suicide awareness, Autism awareness, National Cancer Survivor Month and the ice bucket challenge for ALS, and the newest the Red Nose Day. I see that on the television, hear on the radio, even see it on the computer, But you never see anything about Epilepsy awareness. I want to see this happen, because I know first hand what it is like, since I was diagnosed with Epilepsy 24 years ago, when I was 12. I want to show others and inform people about it. I take 37 pills a day, my Doctors are amazed I can tolerate that much of a dose. But, I still continue to have seizures. I have been teased, laughed at, and looked at as if I was a freak when I have a seizure.
People aren't ridiculed if they are diabetics, or have ALS, and so on. I'm sure this is due to lack of knowledge of seizures. Showing them that people with Epilepsy and seizures are just like everyone else. Well I thought who better to try and spread the word on Epilepsy Awareness, than someone whose life was changed 24 years ago. Awareness needs to be 24/7-365 days a year. Research for Epilepsy is far underfunded.
So out of my own my pockets I made my own website to raise money. My website is www.majesticmiracles.com. It is out of my own pocket because I know first hand how medical bills can be. The money raised will go to someone with outstanding bills, and more research money delivered by me. I just have to get the website name out. I have a video on there also telling about it, and different people no one would ever think of, have or had it. I also would love to get some how to get a charity event to raise more money. I know it is far to late to get something planed for this year but would you be able to help me out. One thing I was thinking of is selling bracelets, magnets to raise money that way. I am just short on money to get it started. I just got everything needed, I have my Employer Identification Number (EIN) and just got approved and got all the information about the 501© (3) DLN number. So I would be able to raise money. Hope to hear from you soon.

    Sincerely,

    Brian Majesky
